Sharing your grade and dossier
Three tiers. You decide who sees the last two, and every read is visible to you.
- Free
- Does this certificate exist, whose is it, is it current. Anyone with the identifier gets this — see checking a certificate.
- Grade
- May I trade with this company today — the band, on its own. A cheap, high-volume read, and what most counterparties actually need.
- Full dossier
- What a compliance officer files: the evidence manifest, the ownership chain, the outstanding findings, and the factors behind the grade.
The band is never in the free tier — a grade is a judgement, and handing one to whoever merely knows your identifier would be a different act from confirming your certificate is valid. The factors are only ever in the full dossier: a grade nobody can interrogate is a credit score, and the standing objection to those is exactly that nobody can see inside them. Neither paid tier includes your own internal decision record — a counterparty is entitled to the facts and the verdict, not to your private reasoning about them.
How a counterparty actually gets access
They ask, and you get a link — one page, one decision, no account required on your side. It shows who's asking, why, in their own words, and exactly what each field group would disclose. Every group is pre-ticked, because the honest default for a request you chose to receive is "all of it, unless you object" — and narrowing what you grant is a legitimate answer, not a failed request. Granting three of five groups is a normal outcome.
Once granted, every read against it lands in your own audit trail — who read what, at which tier. See managing what you've shared for where to review and withdraw it afterwards, or the API reference if you're wiring this into your own onboarding flow rather than clicking through it by hand.
